Rider profile: Marshall Major Gehrke

Wildcat Mini BMX has a growing following of fans and riders around the world. And we are absolutely proud of all of our Wildcat Pride. We love seeing you all shred and take things up a level.

However, there are a couple of riders who stand out from the crowd when it comes to passion for the Wildcat Mini BMX Brand, and one of those is 13 year old Marshall 'Major' Gehrke, from Antioch, IL.

We took some time to ask The Major some questions so we could get to know him more, and to understand why he loves shredding on a Wildcat Mini BMX.

Wildcat: Marshall, tell us a bit about yourself.

Major: My name is Marshall "Major" Gehrke, I am 13 years old from Antioch, IL

Wildcat: We see you are mad at sports - what do you play:

Major: Bmx racing and freestyle, basketball, and football.

Wildcat: Which is your favorite sport?

Major: Bmx and basketball are tied

Wildcat: You’ve been on a show lately – tell us about that.

Major: It's called "All-Round Champion" on BYUtv. 10 champions of different sports compete against each other in new sports. It was an amazing experience! I made a bunch of new friends in the crew and the stars. Its an experience I'll never forget!

Wildcat: When did you start riding BMX, and what got you into the sport?

Major: I started racing when I was 4 years old and it was all because of my dad, he noticed that I was a very energetic kid and I also loved riding bikes. One day he took me to a bmx track in Waukegan, Illinois, and I did 50 laps and never wanted to leave and the rest is history. 😂😂

Wildcat: How many bikes do you have?

Major: SSquared BMX race bike, SSquared BMX park bike, SSquared Dirt Jumper and my Wildcat Mini BMX Original 2B Galaxy Gum. I also have my old Championship winning SSquared BMX race bike hanging on my wall. So 5 total right now.

Wildcat: How many hours a week do you train?

Major: Only occasionally, I ride my bike almost every day, but mainly for fun, just to ride.

Wildcat: what’s the best trick you’ve ever done?

Major: either a 720 or backflip

Wildcat: What do you think about your Wildcat Mini BMX?

Major: It's awesome and fun to ride. Its the only mini BMX I would ride! All my friends love it too. Every park I go to all the kids want to try it.

Wildcat: How does your Wildcat Galaxy Gum compare to your full sized BMX?

Major: It's definitely different but its really fun to go and ride when I'm taking a break from the other bike.

Wildcat: What would you love to be doing long term?

Major: Can I be a pro-bmx'r while playing for the Chicago Bulls?

Wildcat: We reckon you can!! You are a very talented lad. Big things ahead for you we think. We are super amped that you love riding your Wildcat and can't wait to see more videos of you getting air on it.
